Thank you Greg for helping me find my new home. After deciding to make a change and
sell my condo the journey began and what a journey it was. I had very particular criteria
for the location, price and size of my new home. Greg was always patient and after
emailing me numerous listings to view he definitely rose to the challenge in helping me
find the perfect new home in a very short period of time.
I am eagerly awaiting my move into my new place. I look forward to many happy years

"When we decided to purchase a property in Vancouver, we thought we should get a real estate agent to help us. We contacted Macdonald Realty office, and the manager assigned Mr. Greg Gaev for us; one of the reasons was that we live in Pennsylvania and Greg was from the Philadelphia area (in Pennsylvania). It was in March 2003. What we wanted was to obtain information on available properties that fit our need. We e-mailed to Greg what we want; type of property, locations, and the price range. He sent us more or less regularly the information on the properties on market. I am writing to express our appreciation for your excellent work in selling my mother’s apartment.
In this challenging market, we were already conditioning ourselves to believe that the process would take some time and that we would likely have to deal with one or more price adjustments. Even in a difficult market, properties that sit and have a history of price adjustment are obviously not as appealing as ones which are able to sell quickly. We know this from the buyer’s side and dreaded the idea of it happening to us.
Therefore we were very impressed to have the sale concluded in just 10 days, having got not one but two offers within 3% of the asking price. To actually close the deal at $539K, only 6K below our asking price (and above assessed value) in today’s market is nothing short of amazing. This must have had everything to do with the great property description we contributed, right? All joking aside, we attribute the success of the process to two things: a realistic listing price and the effort you put in, generating so much momentum right out of the gate. No doubt Mom always ensured that the apartment presented impeccably, but the fact that we got so many realtors and potential buyers through in such a short period is a consequence of how you presented the property with online and print advertising and the open houses you arranged.
Beyond the actual sales process, which we believe is mainly about hard work that not every agent is prepared to do, I want to also thank you for the way in which you generally conducted yourself, which was a welcome change from some past experiences. You were reliable to a fault and you communicated promptly and thoroughly on every development concerning the property, including the administrative details. This really gave us the sense that the process was being managed with our best interest in mind.
